    The year of 2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the publication of the Chinese Journal of Chemical Physics (CJCP), and the 60th anniversary of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). As a unique way to celebrate these joyful events, the Editorial Board of CJCP decided to organize a special issue in 2018.
