    Determination of Transference Numbers of NaBr in Mixtures of H2O-MeOH at 298.15K by E. M. F.

    • A set of equipment was established for determining the transference numbers of electrolyte solutions by EMF method. The measured transference number and limiting ionic conductance values in NaBr-H2O and NaBr-MeOH systems at 298. 15K were compared with the literatural values, the results show that the equipment is reliable. Transference numbers of NaBr in mixtures of water with methanol have been measured at 298. 15K. The limiting ionic conductance (λo), Walden product (λoη) and solvated numbers (n) for Na+ and Br- in various solvent systems have been estimated. The ionic solvated behavior and the microproperties for ion-sovlent and solvent-solvent in various solvent systems were analyzed and discussed.
