Studies on the Relationship between Crystal,Molecular Structuresand Electronic Properties of 3-Cyano-5-2-（3-Ethyl-2 Benzothizolidene Ethylidene）-4Phenol-2（5H） Furanone

The crystal and molecular structures of title compound have been determined by X-ray diffraction methods.
The effect of electron-repulsion and electron-attraction of the termina on the bond lengths o f the ethylenic linkage, the molecular interaction and electronic transfer of the chromophoresin molecule arc discussed. Therefore, a foundation for explaining a series of related experimental facts has been provided.
