Study of Triple Exciplex in the System of Pyrene and 1,4-Dicyanobenzene

In this paper, the photchemica and photophysical behaviors of a triple exciplex have been studied in the system of pyrene and 1,4-dicyanobenzene with steadystate and time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopic techniques. The fluorescence spectra, the dependence of fluorescence intensity on various times, the lifetime of pyrene were measured. A mechanism for the triple exciplex formation is tentatively proposed.
