Studies on Molecular Orientetion, Surface Morphology and Thickness of Porphyrin LB Films

Molecular orientation,surface morphology and thickness of 5,10,15,20-tetra-p-oxy（α-ethlbehenate）phenylporphyrin LB films were studied by UV-Vis spectra,FT-IR spectra,TEM and X-ray diffraction techmiques.The following conclusions can be obtained:（1） Porphyrin ring and the aliphatic chains of porphyrin were all tilted to the substrate.（2） The surface of LB films was homogeneous and the thickness of monolayer was about 2.0nm.
