    Studies on the Structures of Microemulsions for CTAB

    • The effect of n-octane contents on the formation of microemulsions for CTAB/ n-butanol/n-octane/water system were invetigated. The structures of microemulsions in system CTAB/n-butanol/10% n-octane/water were determined by conductivity and viscosity. The experimental results indicate that microemulsion regions decrease with addition of octane, the structures of microemulsions determined by conductivity is in concordance with that by viscosity, and the viscosity in the region of continuous structure (B. C. ) is higher than that in O/W and W/O.
