Study on the Two-photon Resonance-enhanced Multiphoton Ionization of CF Radicals: Rotational Analysis of 3p Rydberg State
-
Abstract
CF radicals were generated by using a dc discharge in the mixture of Ar/CF4, Ar/CF2Cl2, and Ar/CF3COOH. The rotationally resolved (2+1) resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization (REMPI) spectra of CF radical have been investigated in the wavelength range 260 -360nm. The analysis shows that the observed spectra can be assigned as the two-photon resonance excitation 3 \mathrmp \pi \mathrmD^2 \Pi_\mathrmr\left(v^\prime=2 \sim 6, r=3 / 2,1 / 2\right) \leftarrow \mathrmX^2 \Pi_\mathrmr\left(v^\prime \prime=0, r=3 / 2,1 / 2\right) . The related rotational constants and the spin-orbit splitting values of CF 3p Rydberg state have been derived.
