Raman and IR Spectra of Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O Compounds
-
Abstract
Raman and IR spectra of three samples with the nominal compositions Bi1.2Sr1.8Cu3Ox,BiSrCaCu3Ox and Bi1.2Sr0.9Ca0.9Cu3Ox were measured at room temperature. The prominent differences were observed in the spectra between superconducting and nonsuperconducting materials. The superconducting phase in SP2 and SP3 were considered to be Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8, and some vibrational bands of superconducting samples were assigned, Cu-O bent modes at 462 and 294cm-1 in Raman spectra were suggested to associate with the superconductivity of SP2 and SP3.
