Thermal Stability Study of Nano-Palladium
-
Abstract
Nano - crystal palladium was prepared through the chemical liquid phase synthesis method. Thermal stability study shows that the average diameter of n-\mathrmPd against the annealing temperature fits Arrhenius relation (in the temperature range of 773 \sim 523 \mathrm~K ). The average diameter against the annealing time fits the empirical formula \bard=k t^n. The thermal stability temperature is below 250^\circ \mathrmC. By calculating, we get the apparent growth activation energy about 0.15 eV, which is far smaller than ordinary nano-composite material. So, \mathrmn-\mathrmPd is very easy to grow, and possesses a narrow thermal stability temperature range.
