  • A relatively stable and redispersible MR fluids based on meso-scale ferromagnetic carbonyl iron (CI) powder, silicone oil or hydrocarbon oil and suitable additives by rational process is described. The MR fluid exhibited shear stresses of 75 kPa (B-0.6 T), off state viscosity of 0.4~1.5 Pa s, and ideal damping property.
