A Study of Photoelectrochemical Properties of Langmuir-Blodgett Films Containing Cyanine Dye on SnO2 Electrode

Abstract
In this paper, We report the monolayer assembly was obtained by depositing a mixed layer of dye, methylarachidate (AME), hexadecane (HD), and arachidic acid (C20) on SnO2 substrae. The mixed L-B films of dye, AME, HD and C20 on SnO2 have been studied by means of absorption spectra and photoelectrochemical technique.
The dye molecules in monolayers are easily formed J-aggregate at high surface pressure, compare with low surface pressure.
We can see the intensity of photocurrent is enhanced by formation of J-aggregation.
