The Characteristic Morphology of Benzophenone Crystal Part Ⅱ: Discussion on the Existing Morphological Theory

The possible causes resulting in the difference between the experimental and theoretical morphologies of benzophenone crystal were analysed.The fluctuation of the nodes of a face net along the normal to the face was neglected by the mrophological theory.Therefore E_a,hkl or E_s,hkl could not reflect the anisotropy of the energy distribution inside the crystal.Taking this fluctuation into consideration,E_a,hkl and E_s,hkl should be replaced with E_n,hkl and E_h,hkl.The modification made the calculated morphology of benzophenone crystal meet that of experiments very well.
