Study on the Oxygen Mobility of Solid Oxide Catalysts by Controlled Pulse Reduction Methods
-
Abstract
A detailed study on the pulse reduction behavior of the model catalysts, Bi3FeMo2O12,Fe-Te-Sb-O and Fe2O3-Sb2O4 were carried out to investigate the mobility of lattice oxygen, with propylene as the reductant and at a temperature range of 652-749K. An efficient method was proposed to measure the diffusivity of bulk lattice oxygen of Bi3FeMo2O12 and to give a semi-quantitative estimation of the oxygen mobility near the surface of the studied catalysts. The role of oxygen mobility in the selectivity of propylene over the catalysts was discussed.
