A Time-Resolved FTIR Emission Spectrometer Used for Photochemical Reactions

    • A high-resolution, time-resolved Fourier transform infrared (FTIR)emission spectrometer to study photochemical reactions has been established. The capability to obtain vibrational and rotational-state details of the excited products reveals intriguity new features about the dynamics of the processes. This paper systematically introduces the principle and structure. of this set-up and its application in such fields as photofragmentation, radical(atom)—molecule reaction and vibrational evergy transfer.
