    Study of Ultraviolet Photolysis of C1ONO2 (Chlorine Nitrate)by Means of HeI Photoelectron Spectroscopy (UPS)

    • The ultraviolet photolysis of CIONO2 has been reported firstly by means of HeI (21. 22eV) photo-electron Spectroscopy (UPS). With different photolysis time, the products of 253. 7 nm photolysis of CIONO2 are different: after 15 min., the products are Cl2,O2, and NO2, after 25min. and 35 min., the spectra of C1NO has been observed. So the mechanism of 253. 7 nm ultraviolet photolysis of CIONO2 has been proposed.
