The Kinetic Study of Reactions of O(3p) with Alcohol Molecules

Abstract
The measurement results of the rate constants of reactions between O(3p) atoms and alcohol molecules with discharge flow-chemiluminescence technique are presented. Over temperature range of 293—503K. the rate constants of O(3p) atoms with propanol,2—propanol, butanol, tert- butanol, tert-amyl alcohol and iso-amyl alcohol are (3.22-1.08+1.67×1011exp(-(3.6±0.3)kcal·mol-1/RT), (5.59-1.32+1.73×10-12 exp(-(2.4± 0.2) kcal·mol-1/RT), (5.4l-1.07+1.33)× 10-11exp(-(3.1 ± 0.2) kcal·mol-1/RT), (4.95-0.81+0.96)× 10-10exp(-(6.00 ± 0.14) kcal ·mol-1/RT), (1.08-0.13+0.15)×10-9 exp(-(6.01 ± 0.10) kcal·mol-1/RT) and (6.29-1.04+1.24)× 10-11exp(-(2.51± 0.14) kcal·mol-1/ RT), respectively (Units are cm3·molec-1. s-1). The estimation of the Arrhenius parameters of the reactions between O(3p) and the abstracted hydrogen atoms in different positions of alcohol molecules is also presented.
