Tunable VUV Light Generated in CO+Xe Mixture

We report third-harmonic generation （VUV） in Carbon monoxide nsing xenon as phase-matching gas. A¹Π←X¹Σ⁺ （2-0） transition is employed to enhance THG around 147.5nm which is tunable through changing the ratio of partial pressures of Xe and CO. The influence of total pressure on the TH output in studied in detail.
