    Experimental Results on the Rate of Nucleation in Supersaturated Pantonal Vapor at 250K,100kPa in Expansion Shock Tube

    • The homogeneous nucleation and condensation of Pantonal vapor carried in Helium is investigated experimentally under the condition near 250K and 100 kPa in expansion shock tube.The growing nuclei are detected in size and number by Mie-Light Scattering method and Light Extinction method respectively.The results provide the supersaturation between 13.04 and 20.76 for the nucleation rate of 1015m-3s-1, and also illustrate that the magnitude of the number density of droplets is about 1012m-3 and the radiuses of droplets increase with time,which can be experssed in binomial approximately.
