Formation and Structure of Stable Cluster Ion B₆N₅⁺

Abstract

Abstract

In this communication results of abundance measurements by TOF mass spectrometry of cluster ions produced by laser vaporization of solid born nitride indicate that "magic number" B₆N₅⁺ cluster has a stable structure. Additional theoretical calculations of the cluster ion structures have been reported.
