Study of the Free Radicals Generated in the Photoreaction of Colloidal Cadmium Sulfide System

Colloidal cadmium sulfide （CdS） stabilized with sodium dodecyl sulfidate （SDS） was prepared. Its UV-Vis absorption and fluorescence spectra were measured. The free readicals appearing during illumination of colloidal cadmium sulfide system containing inorganic or organic salts or some other organic substances were studied by using the technique of spin trapping-ESR. The photoreactions were discussed from the points of thermodynamics.
