Studies of Annealing of UHMWPE Samples by PAT Technique

Investigation of the structures of annealled UHMWPE samples are carried out by PAT. A PATFIT-88 software was used to analyze the resulting PAS. It is found that the crystallinity, the free volume and the free volume fraction of the samples vary upon annealed at 100℃ for different time.
These variables are having the greatest changes when the annealing begin. The results can be explained with the theory proposed by Wunderlich for annealled polymer samples.
