Study on the Structure and properties of Silver Halide Emulsion Microcrystals Ⅰ: Iodide Content and Photo-conductivity of Polydispersed Emulsion
-
Abstract
The emulsion of silver bromide containing varying amount of iodide impurities has received considerable attention recently. In present paper the dependence of iodide content on the photoconductivity was studied with a microwave photoconductivity technique. It was shown that during the exposure the photoconductivity was decreased strongly with the increase of the iodide content, reaching a minimum at the point of 8 mol% , then a slight increase in the range from 8-15 mol%. This result is the important significance in correct exploiting and understanding the potential development of the emulsion prepared by single jet method.
