Intermolecular Electron Transfer in the Peptides Containing Phosphonate

Abstract
In the neutral and alkaline solution respectively, the intramolecular electron transfer of the peptides containing phosphonate are researched. The numerical analysis showed that the group of phosphonate in peptides participates the electron transfer process. In addition, both of the rate constant k2 of electron transfer in peptides from Trp/N* to Tyr/O* and inversely k-2 from Tyr/O* to Trp/N* are smaller than those of peptides without phosphonate in the same process.
