The Enhancement Effect of Depolarization Ratio in Raman Scattering Induced by Intermolecular Charge-transfer Interactions
-
Abstract
Charge-transfer complexes Naphthalene-I2, Styrene-I2, azobenzene-I2, p-xylene-I2 and Pyridine-Br2 have been prepared and excited at the resonant absorption freqency of I2 in Raman scattering. We have observed the enhancement effect of their depolarization ratioes due to the intermolecular complexation between I2 (or Br2) and the organic molecules. and the mechanism of this enhancement effect is discussed.
