NEXAFS Analysis of Experimental Spectrum of Solid CS2

Abstract
The S K-shell near-edge x-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectra of solid CS 2 have been calculated in terms of the multiple-scattering cluster (MSC) method.The results have showed as follows:at first,three resonances construct the main features of S K-NEXAFS spectra after a new σ2* resonance identified;secondly,there exist simultaneously two kinds of absorption spectra corresponding to singel-bond and double-bond respectively,and of which the superposition fits the expreimental spectrum well;at last,π* resonance almost comes from the contribution of double-bond,while σ1* is from the contribution of single-bond with σ2* from that of double-bond.
