A Study of the Laser Linewidth Effects in Cavity Ring-down Absorption Measurements

In this report,Laser linewidth effects and the limit of a single exponential fitting in a cavity ring-down （CRD） measurement are discussed.A polynomial fit mode is proposed for CRD absorption measurements.Numerical simulation indicates that the new model reduces the fit error as absorption becomes stronger and increases the dynamic range of a CRD measurement.
