The Rate Constant and Relative Vibrational Distributions of N2O+(Ã2Σ+) Produced by He(23S) Collision with N2O(\tilde X)

Abstract
The emission spectrum of Penning ionization has been measured for the collision of He(23S) with N2O(\tilde X) at molecular beam condition. The nascent relative vibrational distributions of the N2O+(Ã2Σ+) have been obtained by using the emission spectrum intensity and fluorescence quantum yields. The rate constant of the title reaction was calculated, as (8.1±1.5)×10-11cm3∙melee-1∙s-1, by comparing the one of the reference reaction He(23S)+N2O(\tilde X)→N2+(B2Σ+)+He(1S0)+e-. And the experimental results were discussed in brief.
