Abstract
On the bases of the Dlott’s model describing the shock mechanical energy flowing into molecule, we present an improving model that considers the diffusion in the phonon field bdhind the shock wave The numerical solution shows that when thermal conduction is considered, the hot phonon bath approaches the final equilibrium state with much faster speed The relaxation time of intramolecular vibrational state is consistent with the measurement results
