Study on the Product Ions of Ion-Molecule Reaction of Phenylamine in Gas Phase by MS/MS

The fragmentations of the product ions m/z 187,186 and 185 produced by the ion-molecule reaction of phenlyamine were studied using the Collision-Induced Dissociation（CID）.The CID spectra of daughter ion m/z 170 of m/z 187 ion and daughter ion m/z 169 of m/z 186 ion were compared with m/z 170 ions of protonated p-phenylphenylamine and diphenylamine and their molecule ions m/z 169,respectively.The CID spectrum of m/z 185 ion with that of the protonated benzidine.The fromation mechanism and the structure of the product ions were obtained.
