Colored Symmetry and its Application to Order-disorder Transitions in Polymer Crystals

In this paper the conception of colored symmetry was described. Dichromatic line groups have been derived recourse to the 75 line groups. Some ordered macromolecular chains in polymer crystals were characterized by dichromatic line groups. The structural transition in polymer crystals from a disordered state to an ordered state and the relation between the space groups of the two forms have been investigated from the viewpoint of colored symmetry.
