A Study on the Raman Spectra of Manometer Ceria

Raman spectra of nanometer cerm in size range from 4nm to 45nm were measured at room temperature.The results indicated that the peak at about 465cm^-1 was distorted and red-shifted and became broadening.The linear relation between full-width at half-maxium of Raman peaks and inverse of porticle size was given out,wnich confirmed the result reported by Graham et al.The broadening of the peak near 465cm^-1 could be related to the relaxation and disorder of surface atoms.
