Study on the Structure and Properties of Silver Halide Emulsion Microcrystals Ⅱ. STEM-EDS Determination of Iodide Content and Distribution in Single Tabular Grains

The micro-structural analysis of single T-grain with double-structure was performed with the combined STEM and EDS technigue. The analytical Data showed that in the T-grain with double structure there really existed the difference in iodide-rich and iodide-poor phases. Keeping the total halide content and the total precipitation duration constant the iodide content increase enabled the difference between the iodide-rich and iodide-poor phases apt to be homogenetic.
