The Law and Mechanism on Ligand Influencing the Spectral Parameter of Rare Earth Ion in Solid

By using the crystal field model of ligand polarization the cause of production and the ligand order of nephelauxetic, spectrochemical, and hypersensitive series were studied. The results show that the nephelauxetic and hypersensitive series are determined by ligand polarizable effect, the spectrochemical series are determined by ligand electrostatic effect of point charge, and the criterions of three series were given.
