Calculation of Energy Values of Stark Sub-Levels in YP₅O₁₄: Nd Crystals

A crystal-field calculation of rare earth complexes including intermediate coupling was reported. Using the approximation of C_2V and D_2h point symmetry, the crystal-field parameters were obtained for both Y_0.87Nd_0.17P₅ O₁₄ and Y_0.85Nd_0.15P₅O₁₄ crystals, The Stark sub-levels of both crystals were calculated and found to be in very good agreement with experimental values.
