The Study of Effect of Natural Carboxylate on Rheological Properties of Partially Hydrolysed Polyacrylamide

The effect of natural carboxylate on rheological properties of partially hydrolyaed polyacrylamide （PHPAM） has been studied. Experimental results indicated that complex of carboxylate/PHPAM was not formed, the viscosity of mixed systems was lower tham that of PHPAM-solution. And Non -Newton behavior of solution was weakened as the concentration of carbotylate increased. Therefore, we guess that viscosity decrease of mixed systems was contributed to the increase of ionic intensity.
