Small Angle Diffraction of Cadmium Stearate LB Film

Abstract
Period structure of cadmium stearate Langmuir-Blodgett film has been investigated by means of the small angle X-ray diffraction. 13 Bragg diffraction peaks are observed for 29 layers Cd stearate LB film in the angle range of 2θ=0.8°—23°, indicating that the LB film obtained with the simplified trough has a regular structure. The phenomenon that the intensities from the even—order diffraction peaks weaker than those from the neighboring odd-order peaks are well explained by the model calculation.
