The Determination of the Dependence of the Rate Constant of Reaction Between Butanone and O(3P) Atom on Temperature
-
Abstract
We measured the rate constants of the reaction between butanone and O(3P) with discharge flow-chemiluminescence method over the temperature rang 286—513K. The dependence of the rate constant on temperature determined is k=5.8±1.8×10-11exp(-5.27±0.21kcal/RT)O(3P) atoms were produced by a discharge flow system and its residual concentration was detected by NO2* chemiluminescence which was produced by the reaction of O(3P) atoms with NO molecules added to the detector. The rate constants obtained for this reaction were compared with those reported for the reactions between O(3P) and alkanes.
