    High Activity of CO Oxidation over Nanocrystalline CuO-Pd/γ-Al2O3 Catalysts Prepared by the γ-Radiation Method

    • γ-Al2O3 -supported nanocrystalline CuO (8 wt%, 12nm)-Pd (0.5 wt%, 10nm) catalyst has been prepared by the γ-radiation method. The catalyst is very active in CO oxidation reaction. It start operating at relatively low temperature (110℃), its light-off-temperature (50% CO conversion) is 145℃, and 100% CO conversion can be achieved at 148℃. The catalyst shows certain thermal stability on its catalytic activity after thermal treatment at as high as 750℃.
