Study on the Interaction Between the Active Phase and Support on CuO/ZrO2 Catalyst
-
Abstract
Two methods, dipping of Zr(OH)4 or ZrO2 support in aqueous solution of Cu(NO3) 2·4H2O were adopted to prepare supported copper oxide on ZrO2.Extensive characterization has been done on the physical-chemical properties of the system. In the TPR experiments, four TPR peaks were observed. In conjunction with the observation by XRD,it was concluded that highly dispersed copper(II)oxide and bulk copper(II)oxide were reduced to metallic copper, giving pesks α and β,γ and δ,respectively.Suface ocygen species were easily desorbed and reduced, and which leads to highly active for CO oxidation.
