Thin Layer Spectroelectrochemistry for Monitoring Kinetics of Orange Ⅱ

Abstract
Under diffusion controlled condition the time-dependent absorbance for a simple electrons transfer reaction at the paralled incidence thin-layer electrode during a single potential-step chrono-absorptometry experiment was derived. The electrochemical behavior of orange Ⅱ at the tin oxide film electrode were studied by spectro-electrochemistry. The diffusion coefficient and the rate constant of the following chemical reaction of the electro-generated 1,2-naphtho-quinone was measured by single potential step chronoabsorptometry and open-circuit relaxation chronoabsorptometry.
