    Effects of Type and Concentration of Dopants on Complex Permittivity of Polyaniline at Microwave

    • Complex permittivity of various doping polyaniline at X band was studied. Ferric chloride. ferriferrous sulfate, tosylic and hydrochloric acid were selected for dopants. Results determinated by FT-IR,d. c. conductivity and complex permittivity were found that charge transport and dielectric properties of doped polyaniline are affected by type and concentration of dopants. Shift of main IR absorption peaks. d. c. conductivity, real and imaginary permittivity increase as concentration of dopans is increased at certain condition. At low doping concentration, permittivity real and imaginary of polyaniline treated with different dopants are approach. However, the effects of type of dopans on complex permittivity and conductivity of doped polyaniline are obvious at higher doping concentration. Among four dopans, the doping action of hydrochloric acid and ferric chloride are stronger, but ferriferrous sulfate and tosylate are fainter. The reasons are also discussed.
