The Vibrational Relaxation of NO(v=1~3)by NO2
-
Abstract
The vibrational relaxation of NO(v=1~3)by NO2 in gas phase was studied by means of Time-Resolved FTIR emission spectroscopy.NO(v) was formed by laser photolysis of NO2 at 308nm.The IR spectra of NO(v) from 22μs to 217μs after laser firing were recorded. The relaxation rate constants kv were obtained by calculation. The results can be explained by a mechanism involving the formation of (N2O3)* collision complexes.
