A New Model of Potential Energy Functions For Atomic Crystals and Applications to Si and Ge Crystals1
In this paper,a new model of potential energy functions for atomic solids is given and applied to silicon and germanium crystals. Obtained potenials of Si and Ge crystals accurately reproduce experimental elastic constants and phonon dispersion curves.
