Application of LB Film Technique in the Alignemmt of Liquid Crystals

In this paper,the LB film technique was employed to the investigation on the alignmemt mechanism of nematic liquid crystal. Four kinds of soluble metalic phthalocyanine compounds Langmuir-Boldgett （LB） film were selected as an orienting material to induce the nematic liquid crystal E-7. Through the research on the characterization of phthalocyanine LB films and liquid crystal alignment as well as the electric light property, it is considered that the alignment of liquid crystal is controlled by the imterative force between the molecules.
