Photodissociation of Methyl Iodide Studied by Wavepacket Propagation

Three-step symplectic quantum propagation of wavepacket has been applied to study the photodissociation of methyl iodide.Theoretical prediction on various kinds of dynamic information, such as the total absorption cross section, product vibrational distribution, and branching ratio, are presented.The mode selective behavior in photodissociation of methyl iodide is illustrated.
