The Effect of Calcium on Photosensitive Performances of Silver Halide Emulsion-Spectroscopic Study of Calcium Binding in Gelatin Medium
-
Abstract
Calcium has important effects on the photo-sensitive performance of silver halide emulsion. However, the pot majority of calcium in the photographic emulsion is from its gelatin medium. Calcium binding in gelatin medium is thUS studied in the present work. The distribution of gelatin chum in aspect to molecular weight is measured by means of gel filtration--flame atomic absorption spectrometry and UV and IR spectroscopic characteristics of containing--calcium gelatin are further clarified. The results show that the calcium in gelatin medium is bound to the phosphorated protein components.
