The Kinetic Study of Reaction N(4s)+SiH4

Abstract
The measurement of rate constant for reaction N(4s)+SiH4 by discharge flow-chemiluminescence method are presented. Over the temperature range 293-503K, the temperature dependence of the rate constant can be expressed by
k=\left(1.01_-0.27^+0.37\right) \times 10^-10 \exp \left-(2.52 \pm 0.46) \mathrmkcal^-1 \cdot \mathrm~mol^-1 / R T\right \mathrmcm^3 \cdot molec ^-1 \cdot \mathrm~s^-1
In addition, We have calculated the structures and enenrgies of the transition states, intermediate and products for this reaction system by means of MNDO method of molecular orbital theory. It is found that of NH2 and SiH2 are the main reaction products.
