    Structural Characterization of Amphiphilic Zinc Phthalocyanine Langmuir-Blodgett Multilayer Assemblies by FT-IR Spectroscopy

    • A new amphiphilic zinc phthalocyanine (TAZnPc) containing long alkyl chains covalently linked to TAZnPc macroring was synthesized. Multilayers were deposited on hydrophobic ChF2 slide. IR spectrum of solid and LB film were studied. The orientation of long hydrocarbon ehain in the films was characterized by Fourier-transform IR (FT-IR) method. The result showed that the TAZnPc macroring was nearly parallel to the slide while the hydrocarbon chains inclined on the substrate at an angle of about 30°with respect to the substrate surfsee.
