Study of the adsorption of CV on the silver surfaces by Surface-enhanced Raman Scattering

    • The adsorption of CV molecules on the surface of silver mirrors was detail studied. It was found that the adsorption of CV molecules on silver surfaces is homogeneous. The surface differences of silver mirrors only affect the adsorption rate constant ka, not changing the heterogeneity parameter, m=1, and desorption rate constant, kd=0. The adsorption energy of CV molecules on the surface of silver mirror was estimated by the adsorption isotherm, U≈50kJ/mol. The adsorption energies are identical and the densities of adsorption sites are different for different mirrors. The densiy of adsorption sites affects enhancement effect of silver mirror.
