Abstract
The study of the concentration range of reactant of oscillation reaction in Tyrine acid-KBrO3-Fe(phen)2+3-H2SO4-Propanone system was presented. It gave a typical oscillating wave. KBrO3=0.050 mol/dm3,Tyr=8.8mmol/dm3, Act=0.27 mol/dm3, Fe(Phen)32+=0.16 mmol/dm3, H2SO4=0.96 mol/dm3,V=50 cm3,T=308 K. Its life-span had more 60 min. It had more than 45 oscillatingwaves in its life-span. Effects of many factors on the oscillation have been examined. The period and amplitude as functions of the initial concentration of each reaction have been studied. The induction period was changed more than the oscillating period with the reactant concentration. The apparent activation energy of the oscillating induction period and oscillation period were obtained within temperature range of 2040oC. The reaction mechanism of this system has also been examined. Bromine ion concentration was key to oscillation reaction. The bestwas 10-310-7mol/dm3.
